Space Between’s conjoined long dress with a knit trim on the centre back is made out of up-cycled burgundy merino knit corporate uniform waste. The ‘previous life’ garments used were the NZ Post ‘Kakabeak ¾ sleeve scoop neck top’ and ‘Kakabeak long sleeve top’. The bias binding at the back and around the hem is made with end of stock merino, which is made in New Zealand.
This garment is zero waste as no part of the previous (1st life) of the garment is removed. It can be worn in multiple ways as the extra sleeves allow for flexibility of wear and use. We hope, extends your engagement with this item and lengthens its lifespan. It is made using the conjoined technique as developed by Space Between (Jennifer Whitty and Holly McQuillan).
