Printing unwanted uniforms for Fashion Revolution day

Screen printing unwanted uniforms for our flashmob event on Fashion Revolution/Space Between pre-launch event in Midland Park on the 16th of April. We printed 36 t-shirts with statistics about the fashion and textile industry from the international Fashion Revolution Instagram page which included the following:

'95% of discarded clothing can be upcycled or recycled'

'It takes 2720 litres of water to make a t-shirt. That's how much we normally drink over a 3 year period'.

'$127 million of clothing winds up in landfill each year after it is worn just once.'

These t-shirts will be worn by our flashmobbers to send a strong message about the disposability and low value towards fashion in contemporary society.
