Larissa Banks

Space Between designer/maker

Larissa Banks is a recent design graduate with a passion for print design, multimedia textiles and fabric manipulation. She has a unique style and finds excitement in everyday objects and places, giving them new meaning through surface design. Banks has a strong focus on reducing waste, particularly in the fashion and textile industries, exploring new ways of upcycling garments and fabrics, as well as building awareness of waste prevention and reduction in the community.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Design with Honours, Textiles.

Fashion Revolution/Space Between pre-launch

This event at Midland Park in Wellington's CBD was a pre- launch for Space Between and was an event to raise awareness of Fashion Revolution Day, commemorating the second anniversary of the Rana Plaza factory collapse in Bangladesh.
