Space Between’s spliced shirt with bell sleeves and a cotton cuff is made out of up-cycled corporate uniform waste. The ‘previous life’ garment used was the NZ Post ‘long sleeve men’s shirt’. The additional cotton fabric on the cuff and the red cotton binding is made with locally sourced end of stock. This garment is made using the spliced technique as developed at Space Between (Jennifer Whitty and Holly McQuillan).
Main fabric: 80% cotton, 20% polyester (up-cycled from corporate uniforms).
Binding: red woven cotton (end of roll).
Cuff: cotton (dead stock)locally sourced.
Garment manufacturing: Made in New Zealand by a not for profit, Earthlink Apparel.
